Yes, Oak Hollow Estate is a fully permitted wedding and event venue as well as a short term rental in Tehama County. Permit numbers 22-03 for the venue and P-00002 for short term rentals.
Yes, it's a fully fenced and gated private property. However, the gate remains open for the ceremony and reception.
The main ceremony and reception areas are ADA compliant, there is an ADA compliant restroom and there is also a pathway down to the lower lawn level that is as well. The venue is tiered and there are multiple levels. Some of these are not accessible and not recommended for the safety of your guests.
A no touch tour is exactly what it sounds like. We respectfully ask that nothing is touched, played with or disturbed during a no touch tour. Tours are necessary for most couples to fully envision their day at the venue but we pride ourselves on being as pristine and clean as we can be for our guests and often, it may be booked for the day after your tour! Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
We accept reservations up to three years in advance.
The planning tour is a complimentary 1-hour, "no touch" tour included in your booking. This is the optimal time to coordinate your planner, any vendors such as your caterer or photographer and any additional family members or key players in your event to see the venue ahead of time and develop the game plan for your big day. If at all possible, we request that you don't bring children for this tour. If more than 1 hour is needed or excessive time beyond the hour is required, this would be an additional fee.
You may cancel at any time. However, there are no refunds on any amounts paid as OHE loses the ability to book those dates.
Yes, that is an industry standard and it's for your peace of mind as well as ours. We partner with Event Helper and have provided a link here to make the process quick and easy for you as they already know OHE's requirements but you are welcome to use whomever you choose. Event insurance must cover all dates of your booking, not just the event date.
Absolutely! In fact, OHE does not provide or choose any of your vendors. While we do provide most items that would normally have to be rented for your event such as chairs, tables, dishware and more, your vendors are entirely up to you. We do require that they either sign a release of liability form or provide us with their COI prior to your event.
Yes, there is a $2500 security/damage deposit due ten days prior to your booking date. The security/damage deposit is fully refundable providing there is no damage/loss, and policies have been met.
Yes, you can provide your own as long as you are not selling it and guests being served are 21+.
*Please encourage Designated Sober Drivers and carpooling to your guests if you plan to serve and they plan to imbibe! The venue is somewhat remote, taxis, Uber or Lyft might be difficult to book. Drink responsibly!
Please keep your ceremony toss items to things that are sustainable, easy to clean and biodegradable. No glitter, fireworks (sparklers), firearms or any kind of flame may be used. Silk/fake plants or flower petals are great but they must all be cleaned up to avoid additional cleaning charges to your security deposit.
Yes. Both. There is ample space and power available.
This is something to discuss with your liaison as regulations would vary depending on the timing you choose for your event.
We certainly want you to be able to customize your day. Please discuss your ideas with your venue liaison. If something is moved, it must be returned to it's original location. Not doing so would result in a charge to your security deposit.
Music must be off by 10:00 pm and any noise thereafter must be kept to a minimum. This is not the Venue's rule, it is a county requirement and it is strictly enforced.
There are venue liaison(s) on site during the day of your event from 11am to 10pm. While they are present to protect the venue, they are more than happy to answer questions about the venue and help with small tasks to ensure that your event is seamless if their assistance is needed. In the rare instance that the liaison(s) must stay on site after 10pm due to unruly behavior of guests or vendors not complying with county guidelines, it would result in additional charges to your security deposit for their time.
There are no additional or surprise fees that aren’t disclosed. OHE believes in full transparency and we are very upfront in pricing as well as damages that would result in charges to your security deposit.
We are sorry but no, there is a lot going on behind the scenes to ready the venue for your arrival and often tours are being conducted between events and we can't have a fridge full of flowers or your cake! Access to the venue is as described in your contract.
No one wants to be surprised by additional expenses that you hadn't planned for but simply put, you are responsible for your guests behavior and any damage caused. We understand that accidents happen but OHE can't simply absorb the expense of repairing any damage or replacing broken items. This is outlined in the contract.
Absolutely, the space is yours to enjoy with your family and friends but the event itself comes with county guidelines that must be followed. You can definitely finish out your evening enjoying the venue with the registered guests staying on site with you and we hope you do!
Smoking/vaping is allowed in designated areas only. No smoking/vaping of any kind is allowed inside of any building. Please encourage your guests to respect this policy. Cigarette butts, cigar butts, etc., and Zyn pouches need to be disposed of properly. Debris left around the estate will result in charges against your security deposit.
No. A max of 20 guests between the Main House and the Pub House and they must all be registered. The registered guests are the only guests allowed to stay after the event. All event guests must be gone by 11 pm. Absolutely no tent camping is allowed, no RV's allowed (County Ordinance). Guests that plan to imbibe at the event need to plan ahead and make sure that they have a designated sober driver to get home.
The road leading to the estate is unpaved for 1.9 miles and can get a bit bumpy and dusty, so you might want to hold off on washing your vehicles.
*Please be mindful of home owners/neighbors in the area and make sure that your guests are as well. Oak Hollow Drive is primarily a residental neighborhood, please be courteous and observe speed limits.
